The total testing time for the SAT is 3 hours (3 hours and 50 minutes with the Essay).
The SAT is scored on a scale of 400-1600. Each section (Critical Reading, Writing and Language, and Math) is scored separately, and the total score is the sum of the three section scores.
The SAT percentile rank represents the percentage of students who scored below your score. For example, a percentile rank of 80 means that you scored better than 80% of all test-takers.
Percentile | Score Range |
---|---|
99% | 1480-1600 |
95% | 1400-1470 |
90% | 1340-1390 |
75% | 1250-1330 |
50% | 1160-1240 |
25% | 1080-1150 |
10% | 990-1070 |
