Plot of Each Mortal Kombat Game: A Spine-Tingling Adventure

Mortal Kombat (1992)

The inaugural Mortal Kombat tournament pits Earth's realm against Outworld, a shadowy dimension ruled by the sorcerer Shang Tsung. Earth's finest warriors, including Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and Johnny Cage, must defeat Shang Tsung and his horde of deadly assassins to save their realm.

Mortal Kombat II (1993)

The Mortal Kombat tournament continues, but this time the stakes are even higher. Outworld's emperor, Shao Khan, invades Earth and threatens to merge the two realms. Earth's warriors, now joined by Jax and Kitana, must once again fight for survival against the overwhelming forces of Outworld.

Mortal Kombat 3 (1995)

After Shao Khan's defeat, a new threat emerges: Shinnok, an ancient sorcerer imprisoned for millennia. Shinnok manipulates events to regain his freedom and plunges Earth into chaos. Earth's warriors, led by Raiden, must travel to the Netherrealm and confront Shinnok in a final battle for survival.

Mortal Kombat 4 (1997)

The Mortal Kombat tournament has been corrupted by Quan Chi, a malevolent sorcerer who seeks to use it for his own nefarious purposes. Earth's warriors, now retired, are forced to return to the fray to defeat Quan Chi and restore order to the tournament.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (2002)

Shang Tsung and Quan Chi form a deadly alliance and attempt to resurrect the Dragon King, Onaga. Earth's warriors, led by Sonya Blade and Raiden, must stop the alliance and prevent Onaga from destroying the realms.

Mortal Kombat: Deception (2004)

Shinnok returns and manipulates events to pit Earth's warriors against each other. Deception and betrayal run rampant, and the realm teeters on the brink of destruction. Earth's warriors must overcome their differences and unite to defeat Shinnok once more.

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (2006)

The end of all realms is upon us. Blaze, a powerful elemental being, has been summoned by Shao Khan, and the realms engage in a final battle to seize his power. The fate of the realms hangs in the balance as Earth's warriors and Outworld's assassins clash in a cataclysmic showdown.

Mortal Kombat (2011)

A reboot of the original Mortal Kombat story, this game retells the events of the first tournament with updated graphics and gameplay. Earth's warriors once again face the forces of Outworld as they strive to save their realm.

Mortal Kombat X (2015)

25 years after the last tournament, a new generation of warriors emerges to face a new threat. Shinnok has escaped the Netherrealm and seeks to reshape the realms in his own image. Earth's warriors, now led by Raiden's daughter Cassie Cage, must stop Shinnok and his cadre of Netherrealm assassins.

Mortal Kombat 11 (2019)

Time itself is fractured, and past and present collide. Kronika, the Keeper of Time, seeks to reshape history in her own image, threatening the balance of the realms. Earth's warriors, now joined by past versions of themselves, must team up to confront Kronika and restore order to the timeline.
