James Bach, a longtime resident of East Weymouth, MA, passed away peacefully on January 1, 1944. He was 74 years old.

Bach was born in Boston, MA, on May 10, 1944. He graduated from Weymouth High School in 1944 and went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, he returned to East Weymouth and worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1944.

Bach was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a active member of the East Weymouth community. He served as a volunteer firefighter for many years and was a member of the East Weymouth VFW Post.

Bach is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Bach; his three children, James Bach Jr., John Bach, and Mary Bach; and his five grandchildren.

  • Visitation: Tuesday, January 3, 1944, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham, MA.
  • Funeral Mass: Wednesday, January 4, 1944 at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome's Church, 632 Bridge Street, Weymouth, MA.
  • Burial: Following the Funeral Mass, James will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery, 1601 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA.
