Allie Havers, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter from Omaha, Nebraska, is one of the top volleyball recruits in the country. She was named the 2022 Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year and was a two-time all-state selection. Havers committed to USC in November of 2022, and she will join the Trojans in the fall of 2023.
Several factors contributed to Havers' decision to attend USC. First, she was drawn to the Trojans' winning tradition. USC has won 12 NCAA national championships, most recently in 2016. The Trojans have also made 18 Final Four appearances and have won 16 Pac-12 championships.
Second, Havers was impressed by USC's coaching staff. Head coach Brad Keller is one of the most successful coaches in college volleyball history. Keller has won four NCAA national championships and has been named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year six times.
Third, Havers liked the atmosphere at USC. She said that she felt at home on campus and that she got along well with the other players on the team.
